Has the GC become like an "Adventist Papacy"? Considering the heavy-handed approach of the GC on July 8 and the GC's recent efforts to crack down on the unions, it appears that the GC has assumed the "kingly powers" that a co-founder warned against. The unions were established in 1901 under the leadership of that co-founder to avoid the “kingly powers” error so strongly opposed at that GC session.
